This week, we had the pleasure of hearing from one of our new members, Lana Clay, during her Craft Talk. Lana shared her powerful journey through life’s ups and downs, including challenges with multiple medical diagnoses, raising twins, and how she met her husband. She also spoke about her drive to give back—through volunteering with other nonprofits and now getting involved in Rotary. One of Lana’s reasons she was drawn to our Club… “we’re fun!” Her story was a beautiful reminder of resilience, love, and community, and we are so grateful she has chosen to bring her heart and energy to the Rotary Club of Tustin-Santa Ana.

6/12 At last week’s Rotary meeting, Clarence Franklin and Richard Rubin shared their experience helping build a Corazón home in Mexico alongside other Rotary clubs. Using a PowerPoint presentation, they walked us through the one-day process—painting, hammering, and working side-by-side to build a home for a deserving family.
The foundation had been poured ahead of time, so it was all hands-on deck for the final build. Clarence and Richard described it as a heartwarming and unforgettable experience, a true reminder of the impact we can make through service.
Thank you both for sharing your story and inspiring us!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hearing from four outstanding students who recently attended RYLA — the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp — thanks to funding provided by our club.
RYLA is an immersive leadership experience that focuses on building communication and problem-solving skills. It empowers young people to become dynamic leaders in their schools and communities. At camp, students learn from seasoned community leaders, listen to inspirational speakers, connect with peer mentors, and, most importantly, have fun while forming meaningful and lasting friendships.
Each of the four students shared their personal takeaways, and their reflections made it clear — RYLA was a powerful, inspiring, and unforgettable experience. We’re proud to support programs that help shape the leaders of tomorrow.
