Speaker on 2/27-
When the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine began, Joel Schneider founded the nonprofit Ukrainian Children’s Inc. to provide direct relief to those fleeing the war. Their team works face-to-face with refugees, identifying the most impactful ways to support them through various projects.
Andrea Esty joined us in person, and through Zoom, we heard firsthand from Elena in Nikopol, Ukraine about the devastating effects of the Russian invasion. We witnessed the heartbreaking realities of war and learned how Ukrainian Children’s Inc. has made a difference—implementing a Window/Insulation Project to protect civilians from shattered glass during bombings and protection from the elements. Also through their Wood Stove Project provide essential equipment to keep residents warm and able to cook. It was a powerful reminder of both the ongoing crisis and the incredible efforts being made to bring relief.
